Erasing Coffee Stains with Oxi Fresh!
Everyone loves a good cup of coffee . . . as long as it stays in the cup. When it spills all over the carpets, well, that’s another story.
Thankfully, Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning is here to help with this handy coffee stain removal guide for carpeting. Check it out!
What You’ll Need
– Liquid Dishwashing Detergent
– White Vinegar
– Clean Towels
– Spray Bottle
If the coffee stain is fresh (and that’s the best time to tackle it), blot the spot. Use a clean towel and work from the outside edge towards the center. Blotting in this direction will help prevent the coffee stain from spreading.
Now it’s time to make your cleaning solution. In the bowl, mix together a tablespoon each of white vinegar and dishwashing detergent as well as two cups of warm water.*
Wet a towel in the solution and wring it out until it’s just damp. Then, like in Step 1, blot the spot from the outside edge towards the middle. Make sure you switch to clean parts of the towel as you go and rewet it as needed.
Continue blotting until no more of the coffee stain comes up.
Spray the area with warm water and thoroughly blot it until it’s as dry as it can be. This will also help remove any remaining product in the carpet.
And the spot should be gone! Now, if you’re struggling with a particularly nasty spot or your carpets or your rug, a punch stain, a wine stain, cranberry sauce stain, grass stain, or even if your carpet just needs a pick-me-up, it’s time for Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning.

* Whenever you apply a cleaning solution to your carpets, first apply it to an inconspicuous part of the floor, let it dwell for 30 seconds, and then blot with a clean towel to see if there’s any color loss or bleeding. If there is, don’t use this solution. After testing, thoroughly spritz the area with warm water and blot dry to remove any remaining product.
