Oxi Fresh's Stain Removal Experts Can Even Remove Honey!

Honey – so tasty, so sweet, so perfect on so many things. Honey has been a favorite treat of humankind (and bearkind) for thousands and thousands of years – it’s also been getting our clothes and homes sticky for just as long.

So if you or a chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff got some honey on your carpets, there’s no need to stress out about that willy, nilly, silly old stain – just try this trick.

What You’ll Need
Two Bowls
Liquid Dish Soap

Let’s Get Cleaning
Step 1: As soon as you spill, grab a spoon and scoop up as much of the honey as you can. Work from the outside edge of the spill toward the center. Make sure to clean off your spoon as you go.

Step 2: In one bowl, mix a tablespoon of soap with two cups of hot water. Get the water as hot as you can stand – honey is mostly sugar, after all, so hot water will dissolve it. Fill the other bowl with hot water as well.

Step 3: Dampen the sponge with the cleaning solution and blot the spot. Work from the outside edge of the spill toward the center. Frequently rinse out the sponge as you go. Repeat this process until no more honey comes up.

Step 4: Next, fill a bowl with water and, after thoroughly rinsing out the sponge, blot the spot to remove the soapy residue. It’s important to remove this residue or it can attract and trap dirt.

Step 5: Blot the area dry with towels.

And there you go – the spot should be gone and the carpets should look nice and clean! Now, if you’re dealing with a super tough honey stain or any other spot you don’t think you can get out, just remember that Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning is here for you. Our stain removal experts can get your home looking grand once more.
