I was a previous customer of Oxifresh before COVID. I think the company changed management and it is not for the better. The young man who came out was very nice and friendly, and that's the only positive thing I will say about this company. He mentioned that he may need to use an extra chemical to get out some stains. I said if he could try without it but if it was needed to please let me know and we could add it on. I asked at the end if the extra chemical ended up being needed, he said no. I wanted to pay by credit card which I specifically asked if they could do before booking, but no one was answering the phone in their office for him to give the credit card info to so the only option was to pay by check. I gave him about a $27 tip. We had our rooms, stairs, and basement stairs done. Rooms and main stairs looked fine, but after he left and I took a look at basement stairs, I realized they were still full of stains. I called to ask if they could fix this and they booked a redo for Friday at 10:30. I also asked for a receipt or invoice, and had to call back 3 times to get this as it turns out they spelled "gmail" wrong in my email address. I had to arrange to be home, move the things around from the basement stairs again. They called me at 10:18 the morning of the redo to let me know that they would not be able to come. I asked if there was anyone else available to send today and they said no. They offered the weekend but I was not available on the weekend. I said this was a big inconvenience to have them come out again, have them cancel at the last minute, and have to arrange my schedule and furniture another time for them to come out and fix their mistake. I asked to speak to the manager, the person on the phone named Maruska said she was the manager and the owner. I asked if there was any discount or refund they can provide for the inconvenience, she said no because I had "declined" the chemical treatment. I explained I did not decline, I had asked to let me know if it was needed and the young man said it was not needed in the end but she just kept repeating that they could not do anything else for me but reschedule to another time next week. Maruska came out herself for the redo, arriving 30 minutes late. She looked at the stairs and asked what my expectations were and I said it was for the stairs to be clean. She said it would be extra to apply the chemical, $40 for the stairs when the cleaner who came out before had said it would be $20 for the house. I asked why the price was higher now for this set of stairs when he had offered $20 for the whole house and she said it should really be $20 for each stain and I shouldn't have declined. I repeated that I had not declined, I asked for him to try without the chemical and to add it if it was needed. She kept insisting I had declined. I asked if she was calling me a liar. She then REFUSED to do the redo work saying she would not do it for free even though I had already paid $210 including the cleaning and tip. I have never in my life dealt with someone so unprofessional and terrible in customer service who is supposedly an owner. VG. - Woodbridge, VA - 11/14/2023
