Step 1 – We always begin by conducting a complete walkthrough of your hardwood floors, taking note of any areas that are especially worn down.
Step 2 – We then begin to vacuum your floors thoroughly, removing any dirt particles that would get in the way during our treatment process.
Step 3 – After vacuuming, we’ll treat the floors with the OF2000. This machine is our specialized hardwood flooring cleaning apparatus that skillfully blends all of the needed hardwood cleaning processes together at the same time. Through this combination of formula application, floor scrubbing, and removal of dirt particles, we are able to bring amazing results to your flooring in no time.
Our OF2000 first applies our pretreatment formula to your flooring in order to begin breaking down the caked-on grime that has soiled your floors. After that, our core treatment formula is added which continues to break down and extract dirt.
By using this piece of machinery, we are able to get amazing results without the need for sanding your floors or for drenching your floors with water.
Step 4 (Optional) – After we have completed the St. Peters hardwood floor cleaning process, you may desire an additional layer of protection in order to extend the lifespan of your cleaning. Our Oxi Floor Refinisher is an optional add-on. This urethane coating creates a nice semi-gloss finish and will act as a barrier to help protect your flooring post-cleaning.
Optional Removal of Acrylic Wax
If you have used DIY cleaning products on your hardwood floors before, chances are you have used a product containing acrylic waxes. These waxes add a glossy finish to your floors that is temporary, so if you wish to maintain the finish you must continually apply more of the product.
The issue you run into is that the wax that is added by these products does not disappear over time. Instead, layer upon layer builds up. This has to be removed for floors to be properly cleaned. Thankfully, Oxi Fresh offers an additional service that can remove these wax layers and get your wood flooring looking beautiful again!
