Jonathan Barnett – One of Denver’s 40 Under 40!
Every year for the past fifteen years, the Denver Business Journal looks though the hundreds of young entrepreneurs in Denver and handpicks the best – the 40 under 40. These businesswomen and businessmen, all 39 years old or younger, are selected due to their outstanding business acumen, their leadership skills, and their involvement in the community. The competition is fierce – this year alone, over three hundred people were nominated.
And that’s why we here at Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning are so proud that 32 year old Jonathan Barnett was named as one of Denver’s 40 Under 40! He was also pretty pleased when he and the other winners were recognized in front of the full ballroom at the Hyatt. “The Denver Business Journal’s ’40 under 40′ award has been a mainstay in the business community for more than 15 years,” Barnett later said, “I am surprised and humbled to be ranked with so many heavy hitters in the greater Denver market.”
Jonathan’s place among the 40 Under 40 is due both to his skill in business and his concern for others. In 2006 he created a small green carpet cleaning company and, in less than 6 years, Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning has over 225 locations in nearly every state. They help hundreds of customers a day with their environmentally friendly, low-moisture carpet cleanings and upholstery cleanings. Equally important to Jonathan, though, is Crossover International, a basketball based ministry that reaches out to children around the world.
Founded in 2001, Crossover sends teams out to Europe and Africa to run free basketball camps for children and build relationships with them. Crossover also runs an annual day camp at the Mount View Detention Center and has recently founded Crossover Basketball Academy. This program runs year round and provides at-risk youth a safe, challenging after-school environment with tutoring, life coaching, and basketball training.
Jonathan is immensely proud and happy to see how his ministry and business have grown and he looks forward to another 32 years of leading his company forward. Congratulations again!
