Corvette Calling: How a Ride in a Sports Car sent the Keyser Brothers Racing Towards Entrepreneurship
It’s funny the things that inspire our careers. For some, a bit of encouragement from a teacher set us on our path. For others, it was favorite character from a TV show or book; whatever they did, we wanted to do to. For Charles and Jesse Keyser, the owners of Oxi Fresh of St. Louis Carpet Cleaning, their inspiration came in the form of a Corvette ride.
According to a great article from FranchiseTimes.com, when the brothers were kids, their dad’s boss stopped by their home in his sports car. After they were given a ride in the Corvette, they knew they wanted to be businessmen too. “That was the seed for us,” said Charles, “I’m glad we kept that fire going.”
Now the Keyser Brothers operate twelve Sports Clips, five Little Caesars, and a four-van Oxi Fresh operation.
