3 Lessons for Business Success – Jonathan Barnett Featured on TheSelfEmployed.com

How does a business go from bare bones to an industry leader? That’s the big question Jonathan Barnett, president and CEO of Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning, answers today in his article, “From a Shoestring Startup to a Booming Business.”

In this great piece, Jonathan shares three life lessons that have helped make him a better entrepreneur and, consequently, helped make his company grow.

“There’s one thing that kills a lot of great ideas – the people who have them. . . . Because of [their] emotional and mental red lights,” says Mr. Barnett when talking about the importance of taking action, “I’ve always operated Oxi Fresh like we have a green light. My company pushes forward, grows, adds new tools and services, and we only stop when we must. Then, once we figure out what to do about that red light – a tangible barrier, by the way, and not an imagined one – then off we go again.”

The article was featured on TheSelfEmployed.com, an online source of information, tools, and advice for entrepreneurs founded by Steve Strauss of the USA Today.

“I was really honored to be able to share what I’ve learned on such a fantastic site,” said Mr. Barnett, “I really hope it helps entrepreneurs out there looking to start their own company. I admit that the lessons I talk about aren’t easy to implement, but they are vital to success.”

Among the topics Jonathan discusses is the importance of not letting doubt freeze you up, why he thinks the word “Opportunity” is misunderstood and is leading entrepreneurs astray, and the importance of personal “mind control.”

Frank was very friendly and did a very nice job. I will say that the dry time on the chair was a little longer than expected but the house was a bit cool and dry. GO. - Lubbock, TX - 02/14/2019

Good work, Justin very polite and friendly, carpets look great. My only thing is perhaps the technicians could dress more appropriately? I'm from another generation that expects people doing a service to be dressed appropriately (and we had a different company clean the carpets a few years ago, and it was the same. A young man who was very nice, but was dressed what I would call "grungedly" ) Nothing fancy, maybe a polo shirt and khakis (which most millennials wouldn't be caught dead in!), but hey, it's a job and one should dress for the job. Thank you. TG. - Pueblo, CO - 02/14/2019

Phillip Morgan went above, and beyond to insure that the deeply stained carpet was completely cleaned. I would recommend his service/ company to anyone that is looking for a great efficient, and timely carpet cleaner. AJ. - El Cajon, CA - 02/14/2019
