How We Clean Hardwood

We follow a multi-step process to help us achieve amazing results. Our unique method of cleaning is tough on dirt, but remains gentle and safe on your hardwood.

Let’s take a look at what you can expect when you’ve booked our Frankfort hardwood floor cleaning.

Step 1

We’ll start by doing a thorough examination of the hardwood floors you want us to clean. Any areas of heavy soiling will be noted. These spots will likely require us to focus our attention there.

Step 2

Vacuuming comes next. Grit and debris must be removed from the surface so these materials don’t become abrasive during cleaning.

Step 3

A pretreatment will be applied to the most heavily affected areas. Powered by enzymes, the pretreatment will break down tough-to-remove dirt and other residues that are impacted into the wood.

Step 4

We will then use a core cleaner. This product will continue the work of breaking down dirt.

Step 5

Next, we’ll use our revolutionary cleaning machine. The OF2000 uses dual brushes to agitate debris loose from the wood and extract it.

Step 6 (Optional)

Once we are done cleaning, you can opt for an extra service. Our Oxi Floor Refinisher can add a temporary urethane coating that will protect the wood and give it a semi-gloss sheen.
