Instead, the dirt and grime get pushed down deeper into the carpet pile. And although the top third of the carpet pile looks clean, the bottom portions remain largely untouched. When this cleaning method is complete, the technician must then rake the carpet back up, after having severely compressed it. This begins lifting stains back up.
