LAKEWOOD, Colo. – October marks the third year that Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning, one of the fastest growing carpet cleaning franchises in the world, has been proudly supporting Water.org’s efforts to end the global water crisis. Since October of 2015, Oxi Fresh has given over $70,000 to the non-profit.
Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning donates every time a customer schedules a cleaning online at www.oxifresh.com. The carpet cleaning franchise company donates a portion of those jobs and, with over 65K jobs booked online, their giving has had a definite impact.
These donations go towards Water.org’s efforts to help the 800+ million people around the world who don’t have reliable access to safe water sources. Per Water.org, a donation of $60 can help provide 4.75 people (a statistically average family) with the means to get water or sanitation solution in their home. Water.org estimates that Oxi Fresh’s donations have helped more than 3,600 people get reliable access to sanitation and safe water.
When asked about his support of Water.org, Jonathan Barnett, Oxi Fresh’s CEO and founder, said this: “It’s easy to forget that clean, accessible water isn’t a guarantee. There are so many families out there who have to haul water long distances and use unsanitary sources every single day. Oxi Fresh has the opportunity to help them through Water.org. We couldn’t be prouder of our contribution to help provide basic human necessities and enable a life of health and dignity to the world’s most vulnerable populations.”
Water has been a fundamental part of the carpet cleaning franchise company’s story – they are the World’s Greenest Carpet Cleaner®, after all. Their specialized cleaning system was designed to maximize results while minimizing water waste. This means customers can expect a fast dry time of just about one hour while the company conserves 95% of the water that others waste.
“Based on the number of rooms we’ve cleaned over the years,” said Rob White, the Director of Cleaning Systems, “I’d estimate that we’ve helped conserve about 35 million gallons of water. We also use green carpet cleaning products and our equipment is more energy efficient. Oxi Fresh really does its best to make the world a greener, healthier place.”
“We’re proud to offer a green service,” said Mr. Barnett, “But that’s nothing in comparison to what Water.org is doing to help others. You might not know it, but there’s a global water crisis. Over 844 million people can’t get access to safe water. They’re forced to rely on contaminated sources and have to spend an enormous amount of time collecting all that water. Water.org is helping those people, and I really am pleased that we’ve been able to help support them these last three years.
