How We Clean Hardwood Floors
We follow a multi-step process to help us achieve a superior clean. Our innovative solutions and equipment are designed to be tough on dirt, but remain gentle and safe on your hardwood floors.
Here’s an overview of what to expect when you book our Mead hardwood floor cleaning.
Step 1
First, we’ll start by doing a careful inspection of the hardwood floors that you want us to clean. This helps us to focus our attention where it is needed.
Step 2
We will then vacuum the floor. This removes any grit and debris from the surface that could act as an abrasive against the wood.
Step 3
Next, we’ll put a pretreatment enzyme on the most heavily affected areas. The pretreatment will break down dirt, oil, and grime impacted into the wood.
Step 4
After the pretreatment, we’ll use our core cleaner. The solution continues the work of breaking apart debris.
Step 5
We will then use the OF2000, our modern cleaning machine. The OF2000 uses dual, counter-rotating brushes to agitate debris free of the wood and extract it.
Step 6 (Optional)
Once we are done with the main steps of cleaning, you can opt for an additional service. Our Oxi Floor Refinisher can put a temporary urethane coating onto the hardwood that will protect it and also give a nice semi-gloss finish.
