When the service tech arrived he informed me that he couldn’t clean my sofa and chairs because of the fabrics with which they were made (natural fibers) and that the sofa had down stuffing. He also indicated that they don’t like to clean white fabrics because their process can leave water marks on white fabrics. I scheduled through their call center and was not asked any questions about fabric or color. Nor was this mentioned in the numerous follow-up email and text messages I received confirming my appt and reminding me of the appt. I called the company about this issue and the manager informed me that they don’t ask these questions because customers can be frustrated by them. They prefer to assess the situation on site. These furniture pieces have been cleaned in the past, and I have even cleaned them using a Rent-a-Vac. I have guests coming and now must find another option on short notice. This company had multiple opportunities to communicate that they won’t clean certain types of fabrics/fillers but chose to assume that I was too stupid to discuss this information. The tech indicated that he has had issues when the sofa that is quoted is actually a sectional, but again, they don’t ask the type of sofa at the time booking, so customers are frustrated when the price goes up.
