When booking my appointment, the scheduler advised I could make a change if needed with the cleaning associate arrived. I initially scheduled the 5 room cleaning special. When the cleaning associate arrived, he told me I could upgrade to the 7 room special or I could pay him cash (no specific amount) and he said he would take care of my stairway and upstairs hallway (without upgrading my initial service). He mentioned this a second time before beginning the cleaning. I gathered this was a potential opportunity to earn extra money off the books. The arrived in an Oxi vehicle but was not wearing any type of uniform or clothing that suggested he was an Oxi employee. He came wearing sweats. Regarding the cleaning of my home, my upstairs rooms were quickly done and appeared to be cleaned well. My living room results were not as good. It is difficult to deter the extent of the cleaning when the carpet is still wet. After the drying had completed, there are several areas that did not get cleaned well. My wife also discovered a small stain on our staircase that was not present before the cleaning began. As the cleaner was preparing to leave, I had a question regarding how to treat the carpet regarding spills. He took my payment and the went to his truck. He indicated that he had planned to return. After ten minutes had passed, I checked outside and the Oxi van had departed. I did not get an email receipt and will now have to follow up to acquire one from Oxi. To be fair, the employee was polite and did a decent job upstairs. I had the impression he may have rushed the downstairs to move on to the next stop or compete his day. My appointment was scheduled for 2:45 pm. The employee called me at 11:55 am and asked to come early at 1:30 pm. Overall, I felt a lack of professionalism from Oxi and was disappointed with the overall outcome of the cleaning. Finally, I typically will tip service workers when work is conducted in my home for service well done. However, the employer left my home rather abruptly without coming back to follow up with my cleaning question as he said he would. CB. - Mooresville, NC - 09/01/2024
