Our carpeting wasn’t very old but was due for a good cleaning. It was explained to us that the oxyclean lifts the dirt from the carpet and encapsulates it. The carpeting was dry within two hours and was crunchy. Once vacuumed, it was clean, soft, and looked great. There were no stains to begin with, so I really can’t comment on that, but our experience was very good!
