Tasty Treats: Fruit and Yogurt Popsicles

Categories: Oxi Fresh - Just for Fun

There are days when it’s so hot outside, a glass of ice water just isn’t going to cut it. On those days you want something cold and sweet, so you reach into the freezer, pull out the box of popsicles . . . and then you see the ingredients list. After reading through all the artificial dyes, sweeteners, and flavors, you sigh and wish there was a healthier option.

And there is! Oxi Fresh found a great recipe from April on AllRecipes.com for fantastic fruit and yogurt popsicles! It’s a much healthier choice and will make a great treat for you and your family this summer.

What You’ll Need
-2 Cups of Blueberries
-2 Cups of Raspberries
-2 Cups of Strawberries
-1 Sliced Banana
-2 Cups of Plain or Vanilla Yogurt
-¼ Cup of Honey
-8 Small Paper Cups (for an eco-friendly version, replace with pudding cups, fruit cups, or yogurt cups)
-8 Popsicle Sticks
-Aluminum Foil
-Blender

Let’s Get Cooking
– Step 1 –
Slice the banana into pieces and place them in the blender.

– Step 2 –
Add blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, yogurt, and honey into the blender and blend until the mixture is smooth (or chunky if you like).

– Step 3 –
Take the mixture and pour it into the paper cups until they are about ¾ of the way full.

– Step 4 –
Cover the top of each paper cup in aluminum foil.

– Step 5 –
Take the popsicle sticks and poke them through the aluminum foil and into the cups.

– Step 6 –
Place the cups in the freezer and let them sit for at least 5 hours.

– Step 7 –
Once the popsicles feel hard, take off the foil and peel off the paper cup.

And there you go – homemade, healthy popsicles. Everyone here at Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning hopes you get the chance to make and enjoy them this summer (just make sure you don’t spill them on the carpet). Thanks again to April on AllRecipes.com!
