Tips & Tricks: Cranberry-Banana Bread Recipe

Categories: Oxi Fresh - Just for Fun

Even though the holidays have passed, winter isn’t over. We’ll all be dealing with the cold for a while longer, so let’s do some baking to keep warm! This recipe is for some awesome cranberry-banana bread.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 cup bananas (mashed)
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla

Step 1
In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar.

Step 2
Mix in the eggs, vanilla and bananas.

Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking soda.

Step 4
Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and continue stirring until they are just mixed (don’t overmix the batter as that can toughen the bread).

Step 5
Add the cranberries and stir until everything is just mixed (again, don’t mix too vigorously).

Step 6
Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.

Thankfully there are plenty of ways to make gift-giving greener, and here are four tips just for you. Continue Reading post – Green Living: Eco-Friendly Gift Wrapping

We all love cookies, but we don’t have the time to sit down and bake a dozen

It’s a great day to deal hunt, but you need to plan ahead to make the most of it. Here’s how you can have an efficient, safe and effective Black Friday.

Preparation:
Get the Facts
Black Friday research should begin now. There are three ways to find out what specials will be available after Thanksgiving. The first way requires a bit of work on your part. Start by identifying your top five retail stores, subscribe to their e-newsletters, check their websites daily and print off any great deals you find. The second way to prepare is to go to www.bfads.net. They collect coupon and discount information from the big name stores and put it all in one convenient site (they also have an awesome app). Finally, a lot of specials and coupons won’t be made public until Thanksgiving day. All you can do there is get a newspaper and look through the ads.
