3 Ingredient Candy Cane Truffles
The party is fast approaching, the family is hungry for more treats, the exhausted cookbook has no more ideas to give, and supplies are running low. If that describes your situation this season, don’t worry – Oxi Fresh is here to help.
We’ve got a simple, three ingredient recipe that makes the most of common Christmas staples – and it tastes great too!
What You’ll Need
Candy Canes (Crushed, 1/2 Cup)
Heavy Cream (1/4 Cup)
Chocolate Chips (1 Cup)
You can use dark or milk chocolate. Also remember that the better the chocolate, the better the truffles.
Let’s Get Cooking
– Step 1 –
Mix the chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl.
– Step 2 –
Microwave the mixture 30 seconds at a time and stir between sessions. Continue doing this until the chips have melted and the mixture is smooth.
– Step 3 –
Refrigerate the mixture until it firms up (but not until it becomes rock solid). This will take anywhere from fifteen to thirty minutes.
– Step 4 –
Once the mixture is firm, scoop it out as twelve servings onto some wax paper. A tablespoon or small ice-cream scooper should give you the right serving sizes.
– Step 5 –
Roll the chocolate into balls and then roll them in the crushed candy canes. Refrigerate the truffles until served.
What You Get:
A dozen tasty treats! They’re best when eaten within 12 hours.
